Welcome to MotherLove Doula Services. We provide caring emotional, physical, and informational support to women during the labor and postpartum period. We are trained to help with the many needs of a new mother, including facilitating breastfeeding, newborn care, and mother-infant bonding.

We met during the labor support training through the Seattle Midwifery School in 2001, and we have been independently practicing part-time for the past five years, as well as pursuing continuing education in pregnancy and new mothering issues. We have had the privilege of working with parents of multiples, single mothers, home births, cesarean births, birth centers, teen parents, first time parents, incarcerated women, and large families. For the last three years we have been donating our services at Washington Corrections Center for Women through our work with the Birth Attendants Prison Doula Project.

Throughout our five years of work together, the vision of MotherLove gestated. In June of 2006, MotherLove was born as a full-time partnership. We have come together through our shared commitment to informed and supported mothers. We believe all women need strong, unbiased support, whether they choose to have a natural or medically managed birth.

We offer free consultations so that you may learn more about our services, share your vision of your birth, and get to know us.
