Lora
Clem
completed
her doula training at Seattle Midwifery School in 2001. She has worked
with the
Birth Attendants Prison Doula project since the spring of 2003.
She
graduated from
The Evergreen State College in 2005 with a focus on Women’s
Health. Lora is a first-year student at National Midwifery
Institute, and has secured an apprenticeship to begin in
Seattle in
January of 2008.
She
enjoys
attending conferences and continuing education events about midwifery
and doula
care.
Lora
likes to run,
she ran her first 5K this year, and would like to run a marathon before
she is
30.

Jade Souza became
a doula in 2001, inspired by her own journey to motherhood in 2000. She
has been
involved in her community as a mother, activist and volunteer.
She
is the mother of two children, and has breastfed for a total of 3 and a
half
years…and still going!
Jade
has worked as a youth street outreach worker, women’s shelter
coordinator,
preschool teacher’s assistant, and stay-at-home-mom. She is a
doula with the
Birth Attendants Prison Doula Project. She is a current candidate for
certification as a childbirth educator through International Childbirth
Education Association.
She
loves writing, spending time with her family and friends, raising
chickens, and
aimlessly romping around downtown Olympia. |
